Even though it is almost June here the weather is still a little cold, I am still wearing sweat shirt hoodies and I still have the heavy blankets on my bed. It even snowed yesterday up in the mountains!. I really feel the need to put on some summer sandals, but I think its still going to have to wait a little.
However my garden seems to be flourishing even though it is still a little chilly. Here are my roses next to my front porch, just so pretty.
Every summer I plant basil always hoping to make my own fresh pesto, hopefully this summer I will get around to it.
Our salad garden, I have to thank my father-in-law for all this, he always tends to the garden. How lucky am I to have all this fresh salad.
This year my husband has also dedicated some time to the garden and planted some tomatoes. As I mentioned before my father-in-law does most of the gardening, there just isn't enough hours in the day for us to do it. However this year he found some time and made his own little green house.
He planted the the tomatoes a little early so therefore he needed the green house because it is still cold here. His green house seems to be working because they are coming along beautifully.
Our first baby tomato, this one is for my sister who will be visiting this summer with the family, it should be ripe by then. Can't wait for them to come.
