Well, this past week I dusted off my Fretz hammers and stakes and dove into making some anticlastic bangles. Just love making bangles!! I always try to make them different and unique, at least that is what I hope I am doing. Sometimes, it is almost like a challenge for me, to push myself into unfamiliar grounds and try something new. I have made concave bangles before but this time I wanted to make them a little bit more elaborate. I added some rivets both for decoration and fabrication. The rivets also hold the bangles together.I must say I like the way they came out, they are pretty big and chunky and make a statement.
With this bangle the narrow end of the bangle is cold connected with a wire rivet and also passes through the silver loops. I love that extra touch.
I also managed to make brooch number 12 in between the bangles. I missed last week so I was determined to get it done. It is very simple but that is what I love about it.
The pin can slide around on the circle so it can be worn either with the swirls facing downwards or upwards.
